Unwrapping innovation.

Last year I was tasked to develop a Christmas campaign that will ultimately create a buzz at the entrance of the SITU LIVE (an immersive retail experience), increase footfall, grow their membership base, help social engagement and increase followers on social media.

Through an immersive digital experience, we allowed consumers to use their smartphones to unveil a virtual present on our entrance screen.

The magic didn't stop there – this shared experience enabled friends to witness the joyous moment in real-time as the digital wrapping unfurled, revealing the exciting surprise inside. The anticipation grew as they eagerly awaited whether they had won one of the many cutting-edge products we had on offer.

The campaign not only succeeded in bringing the spirit of Christmas to life through a unique and interactive experience but also generated an enormous buzz beyond the venue, resulting in a significant increase in footfall that surpassed our expectations. In fact, we witnessed an extraordinary 829% surge in new members compared to the previous year.

Pass the parcel.

A number of teaser presents were also posted on SITU LIVE's Instagram and viewers were encouraged to ‘pass the parcel’ (sharing or tagging friends) to trigger the present to be unwrapped. The more “passes” the quicker we would reveal what’s inside to be won.

This was one of SITU LIVE's most successful campaigns.
